Early Christmas morning around 1:30, firefighters were dispatched to a fire on Kingsway @ Broadway. The fire quickly grew to 3 alarms bringing 40 firefighters top the scene. The 2 story building housing several businesses including two chinese restaurants plus a new Mexican restaurant, a nutrition store, a pizza outlet, a martial-arts operation and a medicinal cannabis storefront on the ground floor and some artists’ studios on the 2nd floor. Cause of the fire is still under investigation

I brought my cam in hopes of catching these waiters doing something other than their jobs. It seems that often people think of waiters at Chinese restaurants as having no life or purpose other than to serve them. What most people don’t seem to realize (at least around here they don’t) is that these are PEOPLE and they have dreams and aspirations just as everyone else does. Unfortunately, Devin got a hold of my cam and so this video is just for fun. So what you are seeing is exactly what Devin filmed, I didn’t cut anything out. XD It’s more fun that way. But since I know these waiters very well (I have been on a first name basis with them for almost a year and a half), I will return to Empire Wok soon and try to capture them on film once again…
